RENTAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Renter agrees to leave the facility clean, neat, and in working and orderly condition. The facility will be inspected after your rental to ensure the facility is returned to the proper condition. The inspection will consist of us ensuring that all items are in their place. We are sorry but we have had items missing and broken, so we have been forced to check for the Association's best interest. There are surveillance cameras in both rooms. Thank you for understanding.
Rental Rate: $225 split into 2 payments. $75 will be due at the time of agreement signing. This fee will be non-refundable within 30 days of rental date. The remaining $150 will be due on rental date.
By signing below, I/we will not hold the Monrovia Festival Association and its members in any way responsible for sickness of myself or my visitors should anyone become ill while using the facility.
1. NO TAPE is to be used on walls or floors, except masking tape.
2. Sweep/mop all floors. Broom, vacuum & mop bucket are all available. Large room must be spot mopped with water only.
3. Make sure rooms used are back in ORIGINAL condition. This means anything you have used must be as it was found. Tables and chairs are to be cleaned and put back in the closet. If you have questions on this, feel free to contact Erricka Jones (317) 721-7806 or Bill Chapple (463) 201-9152.
4. Empty all trash and replace bags. Trash bags are in the cabinet under the sink. Dumpster is at the South end of the parking lot.
5. Restock all items used such as but not limited to paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags.
6. Check restrooms, lights and water faucets turned off, toilet not left running.
7. Wash all dishes, counters & appliances. Please put dishes away when clean.
8. Make sure all lights and appliances are turned off.
9. Lock ALL entrance doors. Walk through the building to make sure there are no unwanted guests.
10. The sign out in front of the building may be used….but make sure all letters are filed properly after use. Letters and numbers are in file boxes in the kitchen under the bar. If you are holding a public event, we can put an announcement on the sign up to one week before your event. We are also happy to put your event on our public calendar and share it on our Facebook page.
11. NO ALCOHOL OR SMOKING ON PREMISES INSIDE OR OUTSIDE! State statutes say NO smoking or alcohol in public buildings. We insist you adhere to the state law.
12. Do not take anything out of the building for any reason without permission.
13. Do not take anything off walls, hang anything from ceiling, or attach anything to the walls or any part of the building without prior permission.
14. If you break, damage, or remove anything from the building, you are financially responsible to replace it and/or pay for the replacement of the item or items. Items in the building have been purchased for all to use, use only, not taken with you. If you take something, it is stealing. You may be prosecuted! This forces us to raise the cost to rent the building for everyone.
15. Please help us to keep the building ready for use by the people. Pictures you see throughout the building have sentimental value for our town and respective members. These items have been collected over the past 30+ years of our organization. These items can NEVER be replaced. We need everyone’s help to maintain this Community building for Monrovia. We are so appreciative of your special care of our building.
16. You will be given a code to the lock box located on the south side of the building the day before your rental. The key will be found in this box. This key will unlock the center and North doors only. Once doors are locked at the end of your rental period, the key must be placed in the South door mail slot. If key is not returned, you will be charged a $20 lost key fee.
To operate the lock box: Open plastic cover, push down black button at the bottom of key pad to reset. Enter your code, then pull down the silver button at the top of the key pad to open the door. Once you have removed the key, please repeat the steps to close the key box door.
By signing below, you agree to all policies and procedures listed above.
