Alma Smock Memorial Art Show

Since 1989, The Alma Smock Art show has been an integral part of the Monrovia Festival. Beginning on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the Festival, local artist bring in their pieces to be displayed and entered into age level categories. On Thursday artist return to view our large gathering space transformed into an art gallery where they can mingle with other local artists. Friday through Sunday visitors to the Festival can come in and view the art work. Many artist often offer their artwork up for sale during the weekend. Visitors also have the opportunity to vote on one of the coveted honors of the show, "The People's Choice Award."

Important dates: 2025
- Entry times: Tuesday, September 2rd & Wednesday, September 3rd - Hours: 4pm - 7pm
- Exhibitor Tea: Thursday, September 4th at 7pm
- Show hours: Friday, September 5th, 4pm-8pm
- Artwork pickup: Sunday, September 7th, 12pm-2pm
Rules for Entering
All work must be picked up by 2PM on Sunday September 7th. The building will be locked after 2:05pm. *****Arrangements MUST be made with Pam Littleford or Samantha Nicholls for an alternative pickup and any work that is not picked up after 2 weeks (September 21st), the committee has the right to repurpose, reuse, recycle, collage, make any other creative musings that the committee thinks of. We really appreciate and love your art, but as artists ourselves, we unfortunately are out of room in our own studios and cannot keep your pieces as well.***** Liability- We will take all possible care in handling entries.
