Alma Smock Art Show

September 6 & 7, 2024

THE 2024 ALMA SMOCK ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW
Monrovia Festival Community Building, 50 Walnut St, Monrovia, IN
Important dates:
  • Entry times:  Tuesday, September 3rd & Wednesday, September 4th - Hours: 4pm - 7pm
  • Exhibitor Tea:  Thursday, September 5th at 7pm
  • Show hours:  Friday, September 6th, 4pm-8pm
                                  Saturday, September 7th, 10am-8pm
  • Artwork pickup:  Sunday, September 8th, 12pm-2pm


​RULES FOR ENTERING
  1. All entries must have been created within the past 3 years and must not have been entered previously in this show.
  2. This show is open to all media.
  3. A limit of 6 entries is permitted in each category, such as:    
  • Fine Arts Divisions (Paintings, Drawings & Sculptures)
  • Photography
  • Crafts (Handmade)
  1. Framed pieces must not exceed 28x40.  Each painting must be suitably framed with wire for hanging.  Photographs must be framed and/or matted.  No saw tooth hangers please.
  2. The show committee has the right to refuse entries considered in poor taste.
  3. Teen/Youth work need not be framed (age must be on entry blank, address and phone number).
  4. Fees: $10 per entry for Adult.  $2.00 per entry for students.
  5. Please fill out two entry blanks per entry.
  6. If item is for sale, state price plainly marked on entry blank.  The committee will retain 20% commission on all sales.
  7. All work that is not picked up by 2 PM on Sunday, September 8th (pick up day) the Building will be locked after 2:05PM.  Arrangements with committee staff will need to be made if you are unable to pick up between noon and 2PM.

CATEGORIES:
    Fine Arts – 3 Categories & 3 Divisions:  CATEGORIES: Painting, Drawing & Sculptures.  EACH CATEGORY BROKEN DOWN INTO THE FOLLOWING DIVISIONS: 
Adult (19 Years of Age and Up), Teen (13 to 18 Years of Age) and Youth (0 to 12 Years of Age)
    Crafts (Handmade) – DIVISIONS: Adult (19 Years of Age and Up), Teen (13 to 18 Years of Age) and Youth (0 to 12 Years of Age)
    Photography – DIVISIONS: Adult (19 Years of Age and Up), Teen (13 to 18 Years of Age) and Youth (0 to 12 Years of Age)

Liability – We will take all possible care in handling entries.  However, the Committee will not be responsible for loss.
